Case Study

Case study: Sitevinitech 2026, 10,000 attendees, 0 downloads

How the operation was built: QR onboarding, networking, treasure hunt and venue map.

Equipo Circli

The context

Sitevinitech is one of the biggest events in Argentina's wine industry. The 2026 edition, in Mendoza, hosted ~10,000 attendees and 200+ exhibitors. Circli was the main technology partner for the event: we built the full digital experience end to end, without any attendee downloading an app.

What we shipped

Acquisition + onboarding (download-free)

  • Single QR entry to the event portal.
  • WhatsApp verification in under 30 seconds.
  • Auto-detected language from the first message.

During the event

  • Full agenda of the professional program, with bookmark/favorites.
  • Venue map with areas (north/south/east/west) and booth locator.
  • Attendee-to-attendee networking via personal QR: you meet someone, scan their card, both end up connected in "My Network".
  • Inter-booth treasure hunt (gamification): attendees scan booth QRs, accumulate points, and at thresholds (3 booths, 15 booths) win physical prizes from the organizer.
  • Personal QR business cards every attendee carries in-portal.

For exhibitors

  • Self-serve exhibitor onboarding to manage their booth profile.
  • App-free lead capture: an attendee scans the booth QR and lands in the exhibitor's dashboard with name + WhatsApp (with consent).

For the organizer

  • Full panel: attendees, exhibitors, leads, real-time metrics.
  • Treasure-hunt control and prize fulfillment.
  • WhatsApp push to audience segments.

The numbers

| Metric | Value | |---|---| | Registered attendees | ~10,000 | | Onboarded exhibitors | 200+ | | App downloads | 0 | | Languages supported | ES + EN |

Final metrics (QR scans, lead captures, median check-in time, NPS) will be published after the post-event audit closes.

What we learned

  1. WhatsApp wins the front door. The attendee scans, lands in the portal, they're in. No passwords, no "create an account", no downloads.
  2. Gamification works when it's physical. The treasure hunt kept attendees walking specific booths throughout the event. Exhibitors saw measurable traffic.
  3. The exhibitor also needs onboarding. The attendee experience alone isn't enough — the exhibitor panel has to be as fast as the attendee one.
  4. Language matters. ES + EN covered the full international audience with zero extra work from the organizer.

What's next

Sitevinitech 2026 was Circli Events' first at-scale case. We're already in conversations with organizers in Buenos Aires, Córdoba, and Brazil to replicate the model. To book a demo, reach out.
